Puntland security forces have made significant progress in their ongoing fight against terrorism, pushing back ISIS militants who have been infiltrating the region.
In a major offensive earlier today in Toga Jaceel, located in the Calmiskaat Mountains, over 60 ISIS fighters were killed as Puntland troops launched a decisive assault. Following their defeat on the battlefield, surviving militants were seen fleeing in groups toward nearby areas.
Additionally, Puntland forces successfully neutralized a vehicle loaded with explosives. The car was intercepted when security personnel shot and killed the driver and an accomplice before they could carry out their attack.
Momentum is building in the fight against terrorism, with various Somali regions stepping up to support Puntland in securing the area and restoring peace across the country.
